Visitors stop by Norris Clifton to get their ‘Dronie’

Last Thursday we had the pleasure of participating at the BNMC’s annual open house. Todd and I set up a DRONIE photo booth set up where visitors got to dress up and take a DRONIE (aka selfie with a drone) with our DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone. Guest appearances were made by Jim Kelly, OJ Simpson, Rick James, Tim Russert, Wolf Blitzer and members of the Goo Goo Dolls; to name a few. Thank you to everyone who stopped by.

Print Leader utilizes Norris Clifton to showcase major install

Print Leader recently installed a 5,000 square foot sign on the side of Buffalo General Hospital for Kaleida Health. This sign is very large and can be seen from miles away throughout downtown Buffalo. In an effort to showcase the scale and scope of this print and install project, they turned to us to get several photos from above to be used for print and this short video.

Print Leader is excited about this project and wants others to know the possibilities. Take a look at for more details.

Canvas, Kombucha & Cake

This Friday, November 20, is a pretty big day for Buffalo. The Public (newspaper) is throwing a 1st birthday party and they have invited me to showcase my photography and offer samples of Bootleg Bucha. I’ll be hosting my art show titled, “Buffalo & Beyond” featuring 20+ photographs on canvas from around the world in addition to sampling Bootleg Bucha, Buffalo’s first and only kombucha brewery (that I recently started with Heather Lucas & Jeff Empric). You’ll get a unique perspective of Russia, Hungary, Norway, Turkey, Netherlands and of course, Buffalo. It’s a huge day for The Public, Norris Clifton Aerial Photography and will be our largest audience sampling to date for Bootleg Bucha.

More on the event can be seen below.

From The Public’s facebook event:
Celebrating Year One – The Public’s First Birthday Party @ 500 Seneca Street!

The Public requests your presence on November 20th, 2015 at 500 Seneca Street in downtown Buffalo for an evening of celebration and thanks toasting to the first full year of business as The Public, Buffalo’s premier alternative weekly newspaper.

Within the first year of business, we have felt an unmatched level of support from our friends, families, local businesses, readers and most importantly the communities that have welcomed our new newspaper. Without you, our friends, family, readers, advertisers, and contributing artists and writers, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

For this we are grateful and ask that you join us to celebrate at 500 Seneca Street, the most recent Savarino Companies development which boasts an unbelievable atrium that we are calling home for the evening. Please, bring friends.

In said atrium a wonderful 1st birthday celebration will take place from 6 – 10 PM and everyone is invited.

2. Come thirsty! For your enjoyment, a beer/wine bar will be provided by The Lunch Box, 500 Seneca Street’s anchor catering tenant. Also, exclusive spirits will be provided by local proprietors which we will be announcing shortly!

3. Lace up your dancing shoes! The Legendary DJ Dovey will be on the turntables all night providing a funky soundtrack for all guests to groove to. Steve Balesteri will also be joining us to play his favorite solo tunes that you simply will not want to miss. He’s incredible.

Moscow & Budapest Drone- Summer 2015

I had the opportunity to travel to Moscow & Budapest for a few aerial photography shoots this July. It was my first time in Europe so I jumped at the opportunity. I had a wedding to shoot in Budapest for Drew & Katya and a commercial shoot in Moscow. Not only did I visit Europe, I was able to travel with friends and document the trip. Luckily for you, Chad scrapped 99% of it on the cutting room floor.

As the trip came up, I was reminded by almost everyone to keep to myself and keep a close eye on my kidneys. As usual, I did the complete opposite and met many great people- and I still have both kidneys. If you ever get the opportunity to visit either of these cities, I highly recommend it. I’ll be going back very soon. I was most impressed with the architecture, weather, sky and people. While the people were culturally different, I found that Russians and Hungarians were both very welcoming and accommodating. It was interesting that we were each initially intimidated by the other until we started communicating.

Enjoy the video, I hope you like it. Special thanks to Irina Sagieva, Slava Timoshenko & Wall-E, my partners in Todd Squad, LTD. (our fictitious international advertising agency). I’m heading back to Europe in a week, follow us on instagram to see more of Amsterdam, Norway, Istanbul & Moscow.

Architectural Photography Just Got Easier

No need to rent a plane or a crane…

Aerial photography isn’t just used for tourism postcards anymore. Experience a glimpse of life at a birds-eye view with Norris Clifton Aerial Photography, LLC. At Norris Clifton, we specialize in aerial photography/cinematography to suit your architectural or engineering needs.

What can drones do for you?

Drones are often better than planes as we can position ourselves to get the best shots, adjust our location incrementally and get closer to your subject matter. We can see what we are shooting, before we shoot the video or photo.

Friends in High Places

Norris Clifton Aerial Photography is proud to collaborate with Emmy nominated video production company, Gribbins Films, in their installment for Garden of Life. With sweeping views and sensational camera work, the video was created to display the passion for health at the Garden of Life group.

“Todd understands the strengths of an aerial image in a story. He’s great to work with.” Jimmy Gribbins, Gribbins Films.

Here’s the final product for Garden of life:

Norris Clifton is Gribbins’ preferred choice for aerial cinematography. The video was very rewarding to be a part of and we’re excited for upcoming projects.

From Buffalo, to the ‘Big Apple’

First, it was a centerfold feature in The Public. For our second appearance, we’ve headed to the big city! We’re very excited to announce that Norris Clifton Aerial Photography is featured in today’s issue of the New York Post.

From drone aerial photography, to robot ring bearers, the New York Post Wed ‘N’ Wild article highlights some of the nation’s quirky new trends for weddings and events. Featured in the article is our spontaneous wedding shoot with Raisa & Kevin Mehltretter. Sometimes great things just happen, this was a good example.

Are you looking for something unique for your next event? We might have something for you. Schedule your shoot today!

The World’s First Dronie Centerfold

“Buffalo’s Largest Dronie” featuring, who’s who startup and tech locally. When asked by event organizer Clark Dever if we’d be able and willing to shoot this and that it was going to be the centerfold for the April 15th issue of “The Public” I quickly said yes. As you can see, we all had a good time. Enjoy!

Tick, tick, tick, tock.

We did it! 4/7/2005 to 4/7/2015. Ten years, really?! We better update our MySpace and take a dronie!

“As I reflect upon the last ten years, I’d like to share what I believe makes Norris Clifton Creative so special. It’s not our raw talent, education or motivation. It’s our relationship with our stakeholders- clients, vendors, influencers and team.” Todd

Over the last ten years we’ve worked on awesome projects, launched brands and gotten quite a bit of press for our clients. While this is all good, we cherish something bigger. It’s the people we work with. Each person is important, we all influence the outcome.

We know the next ten years will be even greater!!
